| Tire | Size | Load/Speed | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Michelin Primacy A/S | 265/50R20 | 107H SL | TPC Spec, SelfSeal |
The Michelin Primacy A/S carries a TPC Spec label. TPC Spec (Tire Performance Criteria Specification) means a tire meets the handling, safety, and ride comfort standards General Motors requires for their vehicles. You do not need to buy a TPC Spec tire when replacing your OEM tires. Any tire meeting the size, load index, and speed rating is a valid replacement.
The Primacy A/S is a Michelin SelfSeal tire, meaning the inner liner contains a sealant compound that automatically seals small tread punctures while the tire remains in motion. Replacing it with a tire that has no sealant liner eliminates that protection. If you want to retain self-sealing capability, look for tires with Michelin SelfSeal, Continental ContiSeal, Bridgestone B-Seal, Pirelli Seal Inside, or Goodyear SealTech designations.
Before You Buy
Tire size. The OEM size is 265/50R20. A common wider alternative is 275/50R20, which adds 10mm of section width and sits at roughly +1.3% overall diameter. This is well within the safe ±3% threshold with a slightly larger contact patch at the cost of a minor range reduction.
Load index. The OEM tire carries a 107 load index at standard load (SL). Match or exceed 107 on all four corners when replacing.
Self-sealing liner. The LYRIQ’s OE-spec Michelin Primacy A/S uses Michelin’s SelfSeal inner liner. If your tires have this liner, let your installer know before any repair work. Sealant liners handle small tread punctures automatically but still require a professional plug-and-patch for larger damage.
TPMS. The LYRIQ uses direct TPMS with 433 MHz sensors. Sensors stay in the wheel during a standard tire swap and do not need to be replaced. After mounting, the Auto Learn system will recognize the new sensor positions automatically after approximately 10 minutes at above 15 mph. If the system does not pair automatically, a manual relearn can be initiated through the infotainment screen settings using a standard GM TPMS activation tool.
Spare / Tire Mobility Kit. The LYRIQ does not include an OEM spare tire. Cadillac provides a Tire Mobility Kit consisting of an air compressor and tire sealant canister. The kit handles small tread punctures only and will not seal a sidewall blowout. Consider roadside assistance coverage for long-distance driving.
AWD tread depth tolerance. AWD LYRIQ variants require tread depth across all four wheels to stay within 2/32” to 3/32” of each other. Aim to replace all four tires simultaneously. If replacing in pairs, place the tires with the most remaining tread depth on the rear axle.
Grand Touring All-Season
The Michelin Primacy A/S is a Standard Touring All-Season tire. It is quiet, comfortable, and rated for year-round driving including light snow. Grand Touring All-Seasons also prioritize luxury comfort but generally feature better handling at the expense of slightly shorter warranties, while most also carry a 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) rating, a measure of severe snow traction. The Michelin Primacy A/S is not 3PMSF rated. Grand Touring All-Seasons are the right category choice for most LYRIQ owners who want a capable replacement.

The Michelin CrossClimate2 and Continental SecureContact AW are both worth considering if you see significant winter weather. Both carry strong 3PMSF ratings and all-weather performance that edges out the standard Primacy A/S in cold conditions. Vredestein’s tires consistently test well against higher-priced competition at noticeably lower prices and are worth a look if budget is a concern.
Ultra High Performance All-Season
If you want sharper handling without giving up year-round usability, ultra high performance all-season tires improve cornering response and wet grip meaningfully over Grand Touring All-Seasons. The tradeoff is reduced snow performance and a firmer ride. The LYRIQ’s instant EV torque responds well to a more performance-oriented compound.

Summer Performance tires in 20-inch SUV sizes at this diameter are even more limited than Ultra High Performance All-Seasons. Visit TireRack to check availability in 265/50R20 if you are interested in a summer-only tire for warm months paired with a dedicated winter set.
Winter Tires
Cold weather simultaneously cuts EV range and reduces all-season tire grip. A dedicated winter set addresses both. If you regularly drive in snow or ice conditions, a seasonal swap is the correct approach. For a narrower winter fitment, 255/50R20 or 255/55R20 reduces contact pressure on snow and ice and stays within a tolerable difference of the OEM diameter.
Performance Winter and Snow
Performance winter tires carry a 3PMSF rating and are fully winter-capable, while prioritizing dry and wet handling alongside snow traction. The right choice for owners who cover highway miles through winter and want confident grip without sacrificing handling dynamics.

Studless Ice and Snow
Studless ice and snow tires maximize winter traction on ice, packed snow, and in severe cold. Dry-road handling is softer than a performance winter, but in genuinely harsh conditions these tires make a measurable safety difference.

Mounting and Installation
If you do not already have a relationship with a local tire shop, Tire Rack ships tires to their highly-rated network of local installers who will mount, balance, and install. Order online and drive to your nearest installer.
- TPMS sensors stay in the wheel. Do not pay for new sensors on a routine replacement. A valve stem seal inspection is normal and worth doing.
- TPMS relearn. After mounting, drive above 15 mph for approximately 10 minutes. The Auto Learn system will automatically register the sensors. If it does not complete automatically, use the infotainment screen settings to initiate a manual match with a GM TPMS activation tool.
- Lug torque: 140 lb-ft (190 Nm). M14×1.5 lug thread. Confirm your installer uses a calibrated torque wrench.
- Tire Mobility Kit. There is no spare tire. Keep the OEM air compressor and sealant canister in the vehicle.
- AWD tread depth tolerance. On AWD variants, keep all four tires within 2/32”–3/32” of each other. Place tires with the most remaining tread on the rear axle.
- New tires go on the rear. On RWD variants, when replacing in pairs always install the newer tires on the rear axle to maintain rear-axle traction.
