Welcome to Friday Finds — a weekly series where I share the most interesting wheel listings I’ve spotted on eBay. This week: E46 M3 wheels. Back in the day, searching 5×120 meant BMWs all the way down. Then the Tesla Model S and the FK8 Type R joined the party and suddenly we had to look a little more carefully at offset.

TE37 on E46 M3 Widebody

Most E46 M3 owners land on one of two safe answers: OEM takeoffs or Apex Wheels (I have owned 3 sets). Both are fine choices. But if you’re willing to look past all the “this style” or “that style” replica wheels on eBay, there are some real diamonds in the rough.

Hamann HM5Used

Hamann HM5

19×8.5 +38 F / 19×10 +22 R · 5×120

The first wheels that ever made me feel poor were the Hamann PG2s I came across on an E36 M3. 5-spoke designs are timeless, forged ones even more so, but sometimes you just can’t justify the cost. The cast Hamann HM5 fits the platform aesthetically and dimensionally without any adapter math and without the forged price tag. At $1,100 or best offer for a staggered 19” set, these are the value pick of the week and look like good restoration candidates.

BBS RK IIUsed

BBS RK II

18×8.5 +38 F / 18×10 +25 R · 5×120

These RK IIs need a little bit of elbow grease and love, but the price is fair for BBS forged. If you want something that looks period-correct on an E46 M3 without screaming for attention, this is probably it.

SSR GT2Used

SSR GT2

18×9 +18 F / 18×10 +25 R · 5×120

SSR GT2s in 5×120 are pretty rare. SSR’s “Integral” catalog skewed toward Japanese platforms, so finding a staggered set sized for a BMW is pretty sick. The +18/+25 offsets are aggressive and will sit flush and the BMW center caps are a nice touch if you’re into that. At $3,200 used you’re paying a rarity premium but these are the kind of wheels you don’t run into all that often.

Volk Racing TE37Used

Volk Racing TE37

19×9.5 +22 F / 19×10.5 +22 R · 5×120

True OG TE37 in a classic color. Fitment on point too. Used pricing at $3,500 is realistic for what these are.

Volk Racing TE37 Saga S-PlusNew

Volk Racing TE37 Saga S-Plus

18×10 +25 F / 18×11 +34 R · 5×120

The Saga S-Plus is the current-production TE37. Same six-spoke forged construction, updated with a deeper dish and a slightly more modern lip profile. At 18×10 and 18×11, this is not a bolt-on situation and an easier fit on later chassis. If you’re willing to commit to fender work and dialing-in camber, these are mint.

Advan RZ-DF2New

Advan RZ-DF2

19×9.5 +22 F / 19×10.5 +32 R · 5×120

Who can say no to forged Advan goodness? The Diamond Cut and Titanium Black finish is a recent Advan colorway that looks genuinely great on white or silver BMWs. These should fit neatly with maybe even some room in the rear to play with spacers.
